In the April 2019 issue of the magazine ‘Luister’, there is a nice story about the origin of the Naarden International Piano Festival. The text is by Paul Jansen and the photos are by Sarah Wijzenbeek, Ronald Knapp and Hans van Ommeren.
With the NAARDEN INTERNATIONAL PIANO FESTIVAL, taking place for the first time this year in Naarden-Vesting, pianist and artistic director Nino Gvetadze and the Robert F.W. Bruinsma Foundation to help young pianists at the start of their career. The great pianist Alfred Brendel thought the idea was important enough to make a contribution as well. Hankie Bruinsma Verbrugh, chairman of the foundation, and Gvetadze on the development of the festival.
